With over £400 raised, it was a profitable night at the Hall Green Greyhound Stadium most notably for Austin Ex-Apprentices FC who took part in the most well attended Hall Green GSL yet.
291 GSL participants were present and enjoyed the night with their respective clubs, but it was Austin Ex-Apprentices FC who made the most cash to puchase some flash training tops for the youth section.
Graham Beecham who is the club secretary praised the Sporting Leagues scheme saying "This was a great night for our club, and the money we have made will go to buying some training tops with players initials and club badges on. The youth players will love this sort of thing, but it will also be represent how far they have come as a team, both in their demeanor off the pitch and their skills on it! We actually could have attended in even more numbers to be fair!"
And it is not easy to see why, as Austin have a base of around 11,000 members in Birmingham. Windermere and Maypole Juniors FC also attended the fundraising night in good numbers therefore raising even more money for the club!
Spaces at the Hall Green Greyhound Stadium for sports clubs are running out so be sure to book your club on-line to avoid disappointment.
