Fairford Town Youth F.C Belgium Exchange
Fairford Town Youth attended Swindon Greyhound Stadium on 2nd November 2007 and raised £400. This money will go towards the clubs exchange trip to Belgium which takes place every other Easter weekend. Pairs of children stay with hosts from the Belgium club while the parents who go along stay in other accommodation. The club wants to raise enough money to pay for the coaches for the whole trip. Part of the trip includes the children taking part in a football tournament against the Belgium club in competition for the exchange trophy, Fairford town currently hold the trophy fingers crossed that they can bring it home again next Easter!
The Belgium club will then come and stay with hosts from Fairford town the following year, this is a great experience for the children and let's hope they can keep it running for many more years. Sporting Leagues are very happy that they can help clubs raise funds for fantastic experiences like this.
