FORGET JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS!
Goalposts are the order of the day for Bury FC Juniors who can now purchase two new full-size sets for their under 17's team thanks to Sporting Leagues. The youth set-up attended the Belle vue Greyhound Stadium, selling 52 of their 100 tickets to raise £260, whilst also enjoying a great night at the dogs!
Andrew Finnigan (the club secretary) was full of praise "The organization at the track was top draw and all my associates really enjoyed themselves. We won the competition on the night so we even got a nice little trophy to take home as well! We hired a coach for the event, charging £10 per ticket to cover the transport cost, which allowed everyone the freedom to enjoy the night with the odd beverage or two! This was a great idea to emphasize the social aspect of the night"
The goalposts themselves actually cost around £800 in total, so the money raised will go a long way in helping the under 17's team look the part!
