KANSAS CITY (November 18, 2020) --- Sporting Rec League, Sporting Kansas City’s youth recreation soccer league, announces the addition of Piper Soccer Club’s Pre-K through 2nd Grade teams to the league beginning spring 2021.
“We are excited to welcome Piper Soccer Club, a valued member of the Sporting Club Network, to Sporting Rec League at Compass Minerals Sporting Fields this spring,” said Sporting Kansas City Youth Programs Manager Brennan Williams. “This partnership will allow us to enhance the league’s overall soccer experience and connect with more soccer-loving families from Piper; a neighborhood located just a few minutes from Children’s Mercy Park, the home of Sporting KC.”
Sporting Rec League is open to Pre-K through 2nd grade boys and girls. The league offers a fun, safe and quality soccer experience with an emphasis on sportsmanship and developing a passion for the game to players of all skill levels.
Piper Soccer Club President, Steve Richardson, also commented on joining Sporting Rec League this upcoming season, "This partnership will help Piper Soccer Club fulfill its goal of bringing fun and affordable soccer to all the kids of Piper. It’ll allow us to leverage the unmatched facilities and organization of Sporting KC to help grow the sport of soccer in and around Kansas City, KS.
