GENERAL INFORMATION

Sporting Recreation League is designed for youth soccer players of all skill levels and offers a fun, safe and quality soccer experience with an emphasis on sportsmanship and developing a passion for the game.

Participation in Sporting Recreation League is open to Pre-K through 2nd grade boys & girls. All games will be held at Compass Minerals Sporting Fields. 

HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES

Sporting Kansas City has created these health and safety guidelines for the Sporting Recreational League. All participants will be required to abide by the following guidelines in order to prioritize and maintain the health and safety of all participants, families, coaches and staff.

• Referee fee (only applicable to 2nd grade)

The head coach will receive a 30% player registration discount per season. Coaches will be reimbursed the discount amount after the first game of the fall season.

Participants may request a refund prior to the season kicking off. Refund requests must be received by March 21, 2021, to be considered for a full refund less a $20 administrative fee and the processing fee. 

Any refund request made after March 21, 2021, may be denied. Any adjustment or refund of club fees will be determined on a case by case basis by the Sporting Recreation League administration. Administrative fees may apply.

If the Spring Sporting Recreation League season is cancelled due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, participants will receive a full 100% registration refund.

PRACTICE INFORMATION

PRE-K: 

There are no midweek practices. Prior to each game, there will be a 20 minute practice held for the players, conducted by the team coaches. After the practice the team will play their scheduled game.

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 2nd grade:

Teams will practice once a week, Monday through Thursday, during the season for one hour between 5pm-8pm. There is no practice prior to the game. The first practice of the season will be the week of March 29, 2021. The last practice of the season will be the week of May 17, 2021. 

SCHEDULING PRACTICES:

Once teams have been formed the league will collect the top three preferred practice days and times from each coach. The league will do its best to accommodate one of the three requested weekly practices. All players will be notified of their practice days and times.

WEATHER UPDATES

In the event there is severe weather and we have to cancel games or practices, we will send communications through our Twitter and Facebook page along with direct email communication to the Sporting Recreation League coaches.
